X-RAY Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP)

2,100.00

Intravenous pyelogram (IVP) is an x-ray exam that uses an injection of contrast material to evaluate your kidneys, ureters and bladder and help diagnose blood in the urine or pain in your side or lower back. An IVP may provide enough information to allow your doctor to treat you with medication and avoid surgery.

How should I prepare?
You will likely be instructed not to eat or drink after midnight on the night before your test. You may also be asked to take a mild laxative (in either pill or liquid form) the evening before the procedure.

You should inform your physician of any medications being taken and if there are any allergies, especially to iodinated contrast materials.
